I have an original whites surf pi, the pcb was exposed to salt water due to a cracked case. I'm fairly handy although I don't know much about electronics so I was thinking of building a pi machine using the whites coil and headphones. I have the understanding that the surf pi 1.2 kit is a copy of the whites pi but was wondering if the geotech baracuda kit would be better? Any sugestions/ thoughts would be appreciated.

can you do pics of your board? can you send me your board so i could do full accurate copy of it for you?
i will send a pcb for Bara and you can do Bara in the whites housing as a temporary replacement.

what KT315 suggests ( to my undestanding) is if you want to send him your original board and he would do exact copy of the layout and send you new board.
There is working copies of Whites Surf PI, probably just the board layout is different.
It is one of the least complicated PI builds here on the forum, I'm sure you'll get it working.

For general beach searching there is very little difference if any between the Surf or Baracuda

i can do sure copy of your whites, but i need to desolder all and do measurement. i order boards in China so waiting shipping time is 2-8 weeks.

i need your board to be resoldered and re-enginerined. if you can help to release my new project for THE world - then you can really help, then you are in a deal.
again, help not for me, help for diy world.

no board - no release - no info - no suggestions - nothing - deep space blue. thats simple american rule - something is not going from the nothing.
