Of course, this may not be the problem anyway. I suspect it could be your coil that causes the threshold to be towards one end of the adjustment.

I solved my problem by replacing the cd40106 with hef40106.
with the replacement of this frequency to pin4 U4 becomes 730Hz, perhaps too high.
put in parallel 1000pF to C5.
in this way the frequency becomes 630Hz, more stable threshold, does not indicate ferrite, depth 28cm 1euro ok!
a question to understand: the secondary sampling is necessary to clear the ground effect?

Secondary sample delay (EFE) U4 pin + 8 = 400us main sample delay
Secondary sample = 46us pulse (U4 Pin 12)
