  • Do we have to retune the circuit after every time changing the coil?

    Hello every one,
I am new here and this is my first thread, I am building baracuda rev A and it almost done, I know that dumping Resistor should be choose based on coil we use,
But do we have to calculate the amount of dumping resistor every time we change the coil, even if we just use the same Inductance value or similar to it,
What other Preset Resistors do we have to re-tune if we change the coil?
I use a micro coil for tuning, and one or two other one for field.
    thanks

put the damping resistor on the coil

Typically yes since inductance is not the only parameter setting the Damping Resistor value.

I put a 1k-2k on the PCB then a parallel resistor in the coil cable connector that critically dampen that coil.
      Now can just swap coils.
