Siverdog board help

So I have got to the step where I test the coil. At first I could hear the coil humming as it should and then it just stopped and I cant get it to work again. The waveform in an oscilliscope looks different than it did before as well. I hqve replaced all the ic on the board and no improvement. I also verified 5v and -5v where it should be. Any suggestions?

I've read through this. Hence why I stopped populating the board. I'm having difficulty at this point in troubleshooting so I can move foreward. Specifically I am stuck on step five and something has gone awry.

Go back and verify steps 1-4. Also check your coil and verify it has the same resistance it had before and if available measure its inductance on a LCR meter.

Yes, when constructing a detector from scratch or kit form, ALWAYS build Section by Section, Stage by Stage insuring each stage is functioning as prescribed before moving on. Not only does this improve your chances of having a functional detector in the end, it prevents on from having a MENTAL MELT DOWN chasing Ghost Problems from the past. The Voice of Experience ! LOL Even populating One Single component in the following stage can create Issues through you off the trail.

U5 and u4 no longer seem to be in sync. Would there be a common culprit ffor this or should I just start over from scrach with new components?
