You can't use Conn2 for a pot. If you are not using the "ADC" option, then cut that trace and connect the pot wiper to Pin3 and read with the PIC ADC.

HH2 PCB to Ukraine is $12 shipped, via Paypal.

Carl pcb arrived today Many thanks..
I draw and make pcbs here but my board maker use elctroless tin plating, yours is lovley and shiny hot air leveled so much nicer than I am getting here. :-) was it made localy to you ?

now I need to sort out a bom so I can build it

        many thanks again

well I started looking for a list of components could not find one other than whats on the schematic
I seem to be missing some caps and I will be doing the resistors next unless someone else has already done this ?

I have no enameled wire what do I buy for a HH2 coil ?

                        http://www.geotech1.com/forums/archi...p/t-12025.html
Carl said "As the coil gets bigger, turns get fewer. A 1-meter square coil is 8 turns I think. An 18x24 will be somewhere in between, you will need to experiment. Wire size is not a big issue, 18-26 AWG should be fine."

                        Thanks

I've been fooling around with PCB designs for the HH1, and in my reading learned that the HH2 appears to have the active pull down mentioned as an option in the HH1 overview article. Also discovered that a 2 stage op amp circuit is being developed for the HH2. What I'm wondering is if the bulk of the HH2 circuit will work with the pair of 221 based sampling circuits used on the HH1. Reason I ask is, I'm struggling to wrap my head around analog based circuitry, am most definitely not ready to tangle with PIC32 (?) programming. I use to design PC boards for a living, back in the tape and light box days, but I'm a LONG way from being an electronic engineer...

By the way, the reason I'm stuck on the HH1 is because it is so adjustable. Aside from being a learning platform, I've got a gut hunch it could make a damned good nugget shooter.

                          thanx-

the same program for pic16f87 with 3 push button (adjusting period, pulse width ........

I wrote the program for pic16f87 with 3 push button for adjusting period, pulse width, sample 1 delay, sample 2 delay, sample width and saving this parameters in eeprom.
                            PIns are assigned
                            TxPulse - A1
                            Sample1 - A7
                            SAmple2 - A4
                            Push Button Mode - A3
increase value for needed parameter A2,
                            decrease ------------------------- - A0,
asynchronous UART for LCD 16x02 - PB5 (displayed each parameters)
Mode is from 0 to 5
Mode 5 save parameters by pushing button A2
Mode 0 for changing Period. A2 push button decrease value and A0 increase value
Mode 1 for changing Pulse Width with A2 PB for decrtease and A0 increase value
                            Mode 2 for changing Sample1 delay .................................................. ....
Mode 3 for changing Sample 2 delay -----------------------------
Mode 4 for changing Sample width ----------------------------
Mode 6 Is not used while.
This program is not completed for signal processing (while). I need 2 weaks for this)
And is not formted text in LCD display (waiting LCD display with UART controller from China)
I hope this info may be used .

                                new version

Some from described before is changed. Not used second delay. For simplifying remove quartz and capacitors (2x27 pf). Is changed also program for pic16f88.
Board is created by Sprint Layout 5.0. Therefore I not placed schematic (all value You can see by cursor placed at component of board). Chip 7805 and its capacitors you can remove when this board is connected to HH2 pic. All file are attached in zip file.
