  • HH2 auto tune?

    Hi all
I’ve been working on some modifications on HH2. I got an idea the other day and now over my head big time. If I tweak the program and setup a third timing sample then run it into a sample and hold circuit then use the output to auto tune IC8B or IC6B.
Is this possible if so how would I set up the op amp in the sample and hold circuit to deliver the correct voltage to null IC8B or IC6B.

You don't need a sampled signal to auto tune IC6, you can just add a really slow integrator (τ=1ms-1s) stage to keep the output zeroed. Replaces R17-R19. You could do the same thing with IC8 but you would want an even slower integrator (τ=1s-10s) to give an SAT. Replaces R30-R32.

      Thanks for your response.
I should have added that this in my first post; sorry I neglected some information. Got to tied up in how to get there and didn’t say where I was going. I was thinking that by automatically setting the threshold and holding that setting through the transmit pulse and 2 samples pulses then take a third sample to reset the threshold then the detector should work like a no-motion SAT.

The threshold is set after the integrator, so I'm not sure what you are saying will work. Post a signal diagram for clarity.

That looks like the Tesoro autotune which they use in All metal. I think it's a servo amp if I remember correctly, you might need to use a high R in the feedback look to get the timing constants right (see Silver Sabre diagram).

Perhaps this mod will work for non-motion, from Barracuda.

Or this mod, from Goldscan / CS6PI (pinpoint function)
