PI-1 Update

Sorry for the continued delays, too much to do. I've uploaded some more of the construction article... the text is nearing completion but the illustrations are just getting started. I'm afraid by the time I'm done, the PDF will be hitting 2meg or more.

Also posted schematic updates. The only change right now is I've added a headphone jack, per Mark's suggestion. Actually meant to do this before, but forgot.

Hi Carl,
thanks for the update on the PI-1 project. I read your article and have straitaway a question.
On page 6 (coil construction) you wrote "...Before removing the coil, ensure that both ends have about 6-inches (15cm) of overlap...".
Why must be there an overlap of about 6-inch?

Sorry, bad choice of wording... basically, leave about 6" of extra wire on the ends (pigtails) to work with. Depending on how the coil is assembled, they can be trimmed down later.
