  • Accessable Potentiometers

Hi I just started working on my Hammer Head project now that I have all my parts, as I am doing a lot of planning I was wondering which
potentiometers should be accessable?I've scene pictures of HH's with 5 pots, 3 pots, etc.. As this is my first metal detector I want to beable
to play around with it but i'm not sure which pots are unnessary to be regularly ajusted for everyday use and can just be small pots. Any
    advice and/or pictures are great.

Only you can determine how many external controls you need. That can be after months of detecting. But, for being able to effectively tune for most ground conditions, I have 5 on mine.
But, you can do without GAIN, SAT. You want Pulse Delay and Threshold main two controls. If you can control the Frequency, it's great for handling EMI. Gain and SAT I usually find remain at 75%.
And that's the order of usage I place them at on the faceplate

I'm thinking leave the pots on the board and seal it in a waterproof case with on/off only on the outside.
There is only 1 or 2 settings for most general usage but you need to find those somehow...
