  • Plug in dual front end >>

    Hey Everyone,
This is Carl's dual front end from the HH 2! I made it into a plug in for the HH 1.
    Very easy mod!

I tried to upload the gerber file for it but with no success. How do I go about that if any one can help? Its in diptrace.
Seems to work better than the single amp and especially with the EMI in my test area.
The only thing is I have redundant R13's. I tried shorting the one on the board but the detector stopped working.
If any one could shed some light on weather I should remove one R13 or the other any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Digit

Compress the Gerber files with either zip or rar. Both of these file formats are accepted by the forum.

      Thanks Qiaozhi,
      .
Here is the zip file for the board.
      HH 2stagefrontend.zip
      And the schematic.
      dual frontend.zip

I'm just learning dip trace so its probably not perfect but Its very easy to breadboard for testing.
U1 just plugs into the same pin numbers on the Hammer Head
It seems to work pretty good but if any one tries it any feed back would be welcome!

hi, if both r13's are the same value just divide the original value for r13 in half and put two half value resistors in the two r13 slots.
this will work fine if your r13 is the same value as the original, of course the HH may run fine with two r13's as is ask carl.
you tried a direct short and it did not like it, so my guess is as i mentioned above.

          Thanks Sinclairuser,
It does seem to work just fine with both R13's. I will try half values though and see if there is any improvement.
I'm working out of town for a while so I will have revisit this in a couple weeks when I can work with the HH more.
Thanks for your response it sounds like the best first option, I'll take scope shots before and after when I return home.
          Thanks
