  • My RevD boards have arrived!

Woo-hoo! ALLPCB.com (China) AUD$24.81+$14 postage. Very affordable. Plus I got an extra board!! I will definitely use this mob again.
Although they took 5 weeks via HKpost.

Is this a modified version or is it the original posted by Carl? I have one from silverdog but have not built it yet, one of these days I'll get to it...

Original RevD 2007 off the Geotech1 page. I figured it would be a good learner. I have ITMD too, but haven't started reading yet-still working my way through the pages here(that I understand). Some aspects of advanced mathematics are currently beyond me, and the abbreviation of terms by the educated furthers that confusion. Once I finish my CertII Horticulture, I will attack the 'tectas in earnest again. Over the past 2 years I have accumulated an enormous amount of componentry- every time I see a schematic, I order the parts I don't already have. So now any project I attempt will be achievable in good time, keeping the particulars fresh in my mind.
On the shelf I have Newhobbys 2-board Magnum, Silverdogs IGSL Musk, Minipulse, Chance, and IDXPro. A brand new Hantek 6022BE scope to learn while doing the HH and reading ITMD.

As I have 11 HH boards, I will build the first to spec, then consider mods. I am unsure if it is achievable, but a joey board to add 2 more samples is one consideration.
I am interested in Svens Mirage, being a HH mod, but he is loathe to supply information without a sale. Understandably he does not want a plethora of dumb questions from inaccurate copy-cats. However a placement and trace pic has recently been posted here.
I look forward to contributing LAY and Gerber files to some designs here in the future, especially Saschos, and the MD20. Maybe some early Compass's.
I was originally going to etch the HH Rev C (single-sided), but at the above-mentioned cost, for a number of blanks, it saves time and disappointment. If I stuff one up- in the bin and start again. Each will be a fully completed and operational detector before starting the next. A bench-full of half-finished projects does not appeal to me, and seems to defeat the purpose.
