you can use foil for a shield, but you need to wind it so there are gaps between windings and leave the last 4 cm around the wire connections foil free.
copper foil works even better, though expensive, a lot of users here including my self have used graphite shielding, but its messy and not a quick and simple solution.
from my tests the easiest and simplest shield that worked well, was a fine wire wrap around the tape of the coil this is tied to ground, i used a three wire audio coax, +, _ and ground to shield, i would suggest this method for a one off project, since it does not require any special materials to be bought in.
