  • Got a question

Carl I built the clocking and pulse section of the Hammerhead using the horizontal high voltage transistor its good for 1500 volts at 5 amps so should not have a breakdown problem. The IRF510 I was using was only rated to 100v I could use it but had to current limit it otherwise it ran to hot. Now for the question, using the 8" coil I hooked up my scope to TP3, when a pass a coin across the coil should I get a small blip on the scope or is the level too small to see? If I should and since I dont what could I possibly be doing wrong. I am new to this so questions abound.

    Re: Got a question

At TP3 the change is too small to see on a scope. At TP4 you can see the curve move a little.
