Can you give us some details about your design and performance?

Coil diameter, wire guage, number of turns and damping resistor value?

Bench tests on a nickel...distance from coil?

Do you know the minimum delay after the TX pulse?

Current draw at various pulse width TX duty cycles?

I'm about to populate my PI-1 (Hammerhead) circuit board and I am curious about the performance you achieved. I broke down and purchased a used Tektronix Oscilloscope Model 475A and a 2Mhz Sweep/Function Generator to attempt to optimize my coil design.

It's good to hear that the circuit worked when you fired it up.
