    Thanks for your complete explanation.
Please forgive me for my questions.
I have a question about IRF740. Unfortunately, it's rare in my country but the IRF840 is more.
Do you think i can use IRF840 instead of it in HH?

    • Hello
      Dear Carl
Please see attached, i'm going to use four 18650 Lithium ion batteries for my HH1.
As you know, voltage of HH is 12V and its ground is +VB. Is it possible to see attached and tell me whether i can the schematic for my HH or not?!
      Thanks for your kindness.

        The maximum input voltage for a 7660A is 12V, and for a 7660 it's 10V.
The nominal voltage of your battery pack is 14.4V.

        • Thanks dear Qiaozhi.
Please see attached, i used a 12V regular.
Do you think it works with the regular?

              Thanks.
For last question, do you think ground pin of regular (middle pin) should be connected to +VB or -VB?

Middle pin of the regulator should be connected to -VB.

Wondering why you suggest that should work. His schematic shows ICL7660, rated 10.5V absolute maximum supply volts.

                    • Yes, use the 7660A for 12V. Better yet, replace it with the LTC1144 and you can get rid of the extra 7812.

I've already pointed that out. Please see post #168.

                              • IRF840 is fine. It's a little better than the IRF740.
