  • [Newbie] C10 position

    Hi all,

I cannot find the "C10” place for welding 1000 µF capacitor onto the PCB.

Herewith an image of my PCB:

In advance thanks, if somebody can help me to put "C10” in the right place
Sorry for my very bad English, I am French (nobody is perfect)

C10 mounts on the back side of the PCB, and there is no silkscreening on the back side to show this. Because it is a rather large cap, I bend the leads 90 degrees and lay the cap flat against the board.

Thanks again carl you're a chief

If I include/understand you well, it would be necessary that I weld "C10" onto the backside of the PCB.

I think the "negative" pad is correct, but the "positive" pad is the one due south, in the ground plane (actually -VB).

          Thanks again Carl

          ok for the negative.

i will connect the positive on the –VB.

          It will look like this:

Sorry for the step by step

          thanks again

That's correct, but my brain had a momentary lapse... that's not the -VB plane, but the ground plane. The north side of R10 is -VB. Sorry.
