Amazing Hammerhead

I am located in Germany and did find Carls HH project. Well, what to say? I like this device and consider to build it. What I am missing on the HH is some visual lcd or meter to get some visual results. Are there any plans to hook a lcd to it, display bargraphs of some data and other results?

On another (dead) forum here in Germany I did read about a project regarding an unfinished PI finder even able to hook up to a GPS mouse, locating the GPS data of the findings and save them into a "build in" CF-Memory card within the detector. Later at home some one could connect to the PC to get the data out of the metal detector (USB connection?) and store it on a finder software diary to the PC.

This would make my personal "ultimate" metal detector, indeed.

Thanks for listening and pls reply if there are some plans to expand the HH.

It has always been my intention to design a follow-on PI (HH2?) with a PIC and LCD. I just haven't had time. It is, however, near the top of my list for this year.

hello, Fred. my English is not so good for big discussion. I must only say a project on chip you mentioned was done. its code is free(!) even there is ID code variant and it is work! you can write to Andrej F and ask him. I hope you will get all info and will GO TO FORWARD in this

thanks for your reply. Your english is fine, don´t mind. English is my second language also :-)

I looked at the web page you suggested and it looks very interesting! I can´t read much because it is russian?? My browser does not get the page code translated so I can only guess what they tell there by some pictures.

I will try to email Andre and ask for information about technical data and features.
