Hi,

The new opt 2 should work just fine. If it is not working, then something else is wrong since the design will work. Make sure all IC's and transistors are correct and installed correctly. This would be the most logical mistake.

Double check that Q5, Q6, and Q11 are the correct type (NPN/PNP). Like Reg said, make sure the leads are right... if you used a different part then it might not be an "EBC" pinout. Also recheck the values of R38 & R51. Make sure Q10, R49, and R50 are correct.

I omitted the Q11 & I conected the headphone to Q6's collector.
Now HH work perfectly!

The tracker pot can adjust the retune speed. It causes also eliminating the ground interference a little.
