Just thought I would let you folks know about the E-Bay mine detector coil. It really works great with a original board and opt. 2 installed. I can detect my gold ring about 10 inches above the coil. They put magic in these coils. Jim.

I too have just finished my HH Rev D option 1 (VCO). I just buttoned it up and it works great with the AN/PSS-12 coil. I'm using the dual coil configuration. This has been a fun project. I'm ready to hit the beach!

I'd like to post pictires but don't know how to do that!

I bought an AN/PSS-12 mine detector on Ebay and it works fine, but no better that the HammerHead.
It's for sale if anyone is interested. It's new and I'm asking $300 plus postage (USA ONLY). I can send info via email. [email protected]

Yup, I was very pleased with the AN/PSS-12 coil. The fellow on eBay told me he had quite a lot of them. Good price, too.

Just a little question...
There are 6 wires on this coil and 2 loops. How can I connect that to hammerhead rev. D?
I think that 2 wires are for loop 1, 2 wires for loop2, and 2 wires for the shield, but not sure...

I've buy this coil ...but never use it yet
on the Amphenol connector,
A-B is 2.9 R and 460 uH
D-E is 1.0 R and 246 uH
C-F is 0 R (shield ?)

. but how to find the external Tx coil ???
. what is the best value for R11 (coil damping resistor) with this coil ??

logicaly, TX is D-E (lower resistance) and RX is A-B (high inductance)
but is it correct ?
