  • HHvD1 Thru-hole boards...

Ok Folks; Here's the deal - My costs are up at the supplier, shipping, and packing end if I do order more (gotta love this economy). Carl has made it VERY clear that he will not order more through hole boards. I tend to agree with him. I do not have the disposable resources to invest in boards that might end up in a drawer while I wait for a 'customer'. I don't mark these up enough to have 'customers'. That said, there seems to be a renewed interest in the HH as of late so here is what I am willing to do. IF I get a minimum pre-order of at least 8 boards I will order another batch. These boards will cost $18usd/ea for North America (Canada/USA) or $20usd/ea international, including the shipping. If I do have a pre-order of at least 8 boards by Jan. 1, I will order them on the 4th of January, 2009. There is a 10day lead time after that for me to receive the boards, check them , package them, and ship them to you. Depending on your location, you would receive your board(s) a bit after mid-January or so. If you are interested, please say so here so that others can see if the 8 board minimum is met. Please also PM me with your "shipping" name so that I can keep track of who is who.Let me know, GT Blocker
(edit won't let me paragraph or space lines...weird)

I provided Gerbers so anyone can make the boards if they want to. But getting a board house to make just 1 or 2 is fairly expensive, so I've given permission for anyone who wants to make up a batch and sell extras to do just that.

On any future projects I post I will probably not offer PCBs for sale, so this might be the only way to get them cheap!

            Ok, fair enough Carl.
Yet it is not expensive. Many times described method, using thermo foil and laser printer to apply draw on pcb. Cheap, sweet and easy.
KT315 keep those for your self. I will make my own.
Refering TGSL's pcb; yes i draw different pcb's for TGSL. Indeed. But originally design is not my intelectual product but guys from Tesoro. Therefore i do not have right to advertise, neither to sell those in public...especially using such place as this forum. I respect that. Do you?

I have taken the time to find a fab house to make these boards. I personally took the risk to see if the results were up to snuff, and to insinuate that I am somehow a 'pirate' is insulting. "Nice way to snatch some peanuts! Why ordering pcb's from you? Anybody can make it on it's own...peace of cake.Tribute to designer - booooaaa to pirates! " Iveconic----> . Yo dude ... don't be an ***. I also discussed this with Carl in PM before I ever offered a board to anyone.YES, anyone can make their own boards, IF they have the materials.skills, etc. If you are not interested, then shut the F up. If you can offer them cheaper, then do so. To call me a 'pirate' is pure BS. Get over yourself.

                As a matter of fact

As a matter of fact, Iveconic, Ya kinda pissed me off. I defy you to make a board yourself that can match these solder masked, silk screened puppies. I dare ya. GTB
PS- be sure they match mine for less than $15usd ea out of pocket. Ya right...you're dreaming (and while you're dreaming add shipping, etc).

dude, you probably do not present what is the SMD technology and how tiny all lines are on the PCB. you certainly can try to use laser printer but you never will get good result with it. I have ordered mine on a factory (BTW, I am able to do PCB via laser printer or that is good via photoresist way - no problem. I am in electronics all my life). a silk screen mask has so tiny types that a performer has refused me to make it off. a part of the PCB's were simply been presented my friends in Russia. I repeat - PRESENTED. hoping it is clear for your apprehending.
as you think $5 is expensive price try to find lower but I absoliutely confident you will not find such order prices in your country as you still could not make HH in SMD before.

OK, let's all settle down... GT, KT, & IV are all very active and generous participants on these forums. I think Ivconic simply didn't realize that I have a very liberal policy of allowing folks to use these forums pretty much as they please, so long as it stays on-topic.

Ferinstance, "Buy-Sell_trade" is open even to dealers who want to sell, and in the "Free Advertising" forum anyone may advertise anything they want, including for-profit endeavors.

People are free to take my circuits, and even exact copies of my PCBs, and do as they wish, including selling them. In fact, Christian in Germany is building some Hammerhead circuits to sell, I think. That's fine, it's all free. That's why I provided it. Geotech is here for everyone's benefit.

It's best to just let this go, and get back to working together on new ideas!

                        - Carl

GT Blocker.. beleive or not... i havent payed attention on your post (prior to KT315's post) at all and therefore i never refered that to you. I refered my post strictly to KT315's posts. It's been a while and KT315 and me established sort of "soft" antagonism between each other. It is quite joy for me to ocassionally bash and bug KT315. (and i presume his also to bash me ).
That was the point. I never payed any attention on you and your posts. You just missunderstood all the fuzz here. If you are p...off on me...than you dont have reason any more.
KT315...that's how you are improving your English? Ha!?
GT... stated "..dude.." and you adopted that term at once! Doesn't matter the fact that you really do not understand what "dude" means, at all!? Ha,ha,ha!

Looking at GT's last words...it is funny how easilly people are ready to switch between one mood to another.. All of the sudden you feel "endangered" by my nonintentional "offend"? Dont be. I will repeat; i never payed any attention on you and any of your posts so far.
It's just that sweet KT315 is my favorite member here and whenever i spot new post from him i am looking to see what's new on his mind..

"Dude" ! Like i said many times in the past; i am not working any smt, simply due lack of tools and conditions. Long time ago i decided not to start smt ever but to focus on t.hole and single layer preferably. Is it bad? I dont think so... Is it backward.. i dont's think so. Does it suits all my demands? So far yes, more than enough!
I am following most of your posts on this forum. Despite the fact that we argued few times, i am still respecting your appearance here much.
I have to thank you much for few schematics and pcb patterns you posted in the past. Those helped me much. Also i do respect and like many of you works you posted on many photos so far, on this forum.
Yet i dont like you hunger for money, which is so obvious from time to time.
Also i dont like your ocassional oneness against this and that... depends of situation and subject..usually met in some of your posts.
Overall..i think you are ok man but sometimes to jumpy and rapid in conclusions when talking to other people...that is all.
Despite my obvious sympathy to your character we gonna continue to bash and harass each other in future too.
                            Cheers!
