  • Better Op amps for HH, which type NOW ?

    Carl
on page 4 of your HHPIMD document ver 1.5-21 july 2006

you state that IC6 needs to be a high speed opamp, and the NE5534 and LM318 are poular ,
BUT there are many more NOW to choose from.

Would you mind listing which opamps YOU would choose now over the 5534 and 318 ?

    Thanks

Does anyone have suggestions on this one 10 years later?

This has been discussed in other threads.
Other possible op-amps for HH PI Pre-amp are:
      MAX412
      MAX410
      AD820
      LT6230-10
      AD8067
      AD8055
      LM4562

Are a few I have noted from other threads.

Thanks. I read through posts in the original HH thread for a couple of hours prior to asking.

what your aim? less noise? more depth? what sure you wish to get?
we do in conditions of Total Disgracy when US refused from hi tech and had transfered it to chineses.
chineses go into minimal way - they do fake chips. and you want among fake chips around you... to seek what?
American Made chips?? original chips there are not of?

Typical reasons to update pre-amp on a PI are:
            Lower noise
            Faster recovery for sampling sooner

Due to so many Fake chips about I always buy from a very reliable source,
DigiKey and Mouser are my go to places. It is always cheaper to pay more once than pay more than once.

old matter with nothing new. you want the ideal op amp. but we are living in un-ideal world. sic.
there is not the ideal opamp, not exist. and in future will be not the one never. just there is always some compromise.

I've been wanting to try one of the new dedicated feedback pin op amps.

Has anyone tried this type of amp?
