hello all ! the project progresses !
the power part is done and tested,it works,
the timer (NE555) , and the transmit circuity too.

just missing an 1MOhm pots to continue the remainder of the receiver.

    ps: why i can't copy/paste text (i'm using a translator) to thread ?

          Hi all ,

          my hammerhead seem's working !
my traces at all TP are good.

i've built an rev C vco board

but i don't understand how the autotrack mode must be working.
when i short it , i ear an hight frequency song , but when i going over a target , this song decreases .

how to test if autotrack is working good ?

how must be working the autotrack mode ?

          thanks.

              I have a couple comments.

Make sure you don't have metal near your coil (hidden in what the coil is on). What you describe, sounds like what I experienced when I had my coil on a table, which had nails in it, but I didn't know that. After moving the coil away from all close metal, it corrected the problem of the audio decreasing what a target was passed by the coil. There may be other causes too, but that was my experience until I moved the coil.

The auto track switch should be closed for normal operation. When it is closed, the coil will respond to moving targets, but if the target stays close to the coil, it will stop detecting it after a couple seconds. But for zeroing in on a target, you can open the switch, and then a target will not fade out in a few seconds. However, if you used a standard TL072 (not CMOS), it will stop working probably after about 15 seconds. If you used a CMOS version of TL072, then it can maintain that "hold" for a much longer time. I used a TLC2272 (CMOS).

many thanks to your reply kevco !

                i'll try outdoor to begin...
                my TL072 is'nt a CMOS version.

                if i understand , the autotrack work as a pinpoint ? that's right ?

                thank's again to your reply.

Yes - pinpointing when SW2 is open.

                  Best wishes!
