Hi George well done on new machine, in the build doco it talks about useing the Garret coil, I assume that you cut the connector off the cable ?
its an interesting idea useing a 400uS TX pulse.

Yes, I had to cut off the connector. It's really the only option. If you still want to use it with a Garrett detector, then you can use the original plug and make up an adapter.
The 400us TX pulse allows the coil current to flat-top and provides some extra depth. However, overall current consumption is about the same with a 125pps TX rate.
Of course, with the adjustable pulse width and period, you can now set these to whatever you desire.
Does the E include the addon ground balancing board, you had once talked about George ? My D version with the Mod is (At least on the bench, because its winter here and can not be tested outside lol) seems to be working great at a frequency of 3000Hz., Would it be beneficial to get the E ? hehe besides the fun of a new build of course

The E version (MPP Beach) does not include the addon ground balance board. That will have to wait for MPP Gold to be released.
This new version mainly provides more flexibilty for adjusting the various settings, which (of course) means that you won't need to unsolder any components to make adjustments. All the changes are described in the Introduction of the Build Document.

Lol Yes , Yes it does, Gold the is something that lights would be prospectors imagination through out time, I was going through the build booklet of the E, would you suggest I replace the IRF740 for an IRF840 on my mod MMP, I happen to have a few IRF840 laying around. And if so what would the adjustment be?

The traces on the MMP are a little weak, I had to run bodge wires on some traces due to the fact of unsoldering some components. I do agree, for anyone wanting a MMP with KRinAZ mod's in mind, its defiantly the way to go.

There are no modifications required to swap out the IRF740 for an IRF840. The result is a higher flyback voltage, which allows you to sample slightly earlier.

I managed to upgrade a REV-D MPP to REV-E without damaging any pads or traces. Desoldering components can be a bit of an art (i.e. some swearing is involved).

I have a Weller DS600, that does not have a temperature dial, I do believe it runs a little hot for small traces and pads. nonetheless the MMP works.
