Hello all. Any suggestions on how to add a Bluetooth transmitter to a MPP to use BT headphones? I?m keen to have it inside the same waterproof case as the MPP if possible..
Thanks,
Andrew
On the detector I have built I used a Trond BT module connected to the audio out for wireless (BT) headphones.
The Trond BT TX module is mounded on outside of metal case.
Is your waterproof case plastic?
If so then mount a BT tx module inside.
Thanks waltr. Yes, I have a plastic case but it wouldn’t be big enough to fit the Trond inside. I like the idea of it being self contained with its own rechargeable battery. Ive found a few boards in my searching that are smaller but they appear to need USB voltages or they don’t publish any information on their supply voltage requirement.
The Trond is quite small. 47mm long. Sure there isn't room? Post a picture of your detector board and case.
There are many inexpensive 'hobby' BT modules BUT they will have a huge latency which is not good for a detector.
I have Trond headphones but can not find them on Amazon now.
They work but are easily broken (the pivot), repaired them three times already. Maybe they are no longer available.
