This thread is for the Code of Conduct for the Open Detector Projects.
DO NOT POST TO THIS THREAD UNLESS YOU ARE AFFIRMING YOUR AGREEMENT TO IT
You should read the document however in brief overview:
The reasons for this code of conduct are:
1) To focus participants on the reasons that we are doing the project.
2) To establish a social contract (not a legal one) for how we will behave with the ideas of others
Please note the legal notice at the end and be aware that if you wish to 'do business' with others
there are legal considerations you should have that are not a part of this 'agreement'.
3) To ensure that detector designs focus on performance and excellence and to get designs field tested rapidly.
4) To, as far as possible, leverage the engineering and design efforts from all
5) To prevent industry from taking the fun out of our hobby by taking us to court!
HOW TO SIGN UP
Very simple.
1) Read the code of conduct carefully and make sure that you agree. If you do not, then DO NOT post here. There are other threads where you can comment on this (eg http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showt...roject-Charter).
2) Post to this thread with the following sentence only (cut and paste if you like).
I agree to the principles and behaviours of the 'Code of Conduct for Open Project Participants V3.0'.
3) Optionally (but recommended) place the following in your signature:
Open Project Code of Conduct V3.0 Participant
4) If you have an industry affiliation or relationship (of any kind) also place a note as to that affiliation in your signature. This is to save you declaring that to every new person that comes along.
eg. Employee of Minelab Pty Ltd
Open project code of conduct members welcome you joining us in our purpose.
