  • Tesoro Bandido SMD

    Hi all,

today i have finished my Tesoro Bandido SMD with Minelab Addon Board, but i have a problem with the -5 Volt!
I only have -2,10 Volt! so what could be wrong??

    Hi,
    Your voltage is correct.
It's lower than the TGSL. Anyway, it's works fine with this voltage.
If you want to increase the negative voltage, remove the transistor and replace it with a 79L05 regulator.
Or you can link the collector and the emettor pads.
    Regards,

      Hi Hugo,

but on the schematic Diagramm in the attachment, there is -5 Volt for negative voltage specified.... so which schematic diagramm is the right one for Bandido SMD ??

      regards

          Hi Hugo,

Thanks for the link could it be a problem, when i use the addon board for my igsl Coil on Bandido??? because the addon Board needs 8 Volt and the bandido provides only 5 Volts...

          Regards

I don't think so. My bandido works fine with a Minelab addon board.
The TX amplitude is just smaller.
            Regards,

You can replace the two diodes VD1, VD2 with 1N5817 or similar Schottky diodes. Should give you almost another -1V.

                Hi,

if this is the right schematic Diagramm for TGSL SMD, where ist the 1000uF Capacitor??? and in the 12 Volt line there is 330 Ohm resistor on my TGSL Board.
In the schematic it must be an 100K (R50) . So i belive this is not the right schematic for TGSL SMD.
I need the right schematic for SMD, because my Oscillator doesent work, and i have to check all voltages on IC´s.
I have removed all IC from socket.
When i screw the poti on addon Board, there is for a moment -5 Volt. Problem is the negative voltage breaks down slowly til -0,00 Volt. So what´s my problem???

                Regards

                  Hi,

here are a picture from my TX and RX waves on Bandido SMD witch addon board. The higher one is TX and the lower one is RX. These waves are OK ??
On TX side i use a 330nF and on RX side a 19nf capacitor.....

Sounds to me like your add on oscillator is not working. This is needed in order the negative supply circuit to work. You might be getting a short burst of oscillator activity or noise when you turn the pot. this will excite the negative supply but for only as long as there is a signal from the oscillator and will decay after it stops.

                    Good Luck

                    Jerry

                      Hi all,

here ist the newest Video from my Bandido SMD! On Video you see the Bandido with activated DISC (Fade out Large Iron and Alu foil) other metals gives a good signal.
Object in Iron mask works too. By the way, the coil is selfmade too ....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HiHej59W2Y -> Please turn on your Speaker very loud! because the sound from my camera is very bad :o((

On Bandido borad the is a place for a battery check Diode. Where is the place, and which Diode should i take ? I have took a normal red LED Diode, which works up to 5 Volts. But when i solder it to the PCB instead the normal diode, the LED is always off.....

Does anyone have a Bandido with working Battery tester on PCB? maybe can i have a picture from it ? and which diode did you take?

                      Regards

Here are some pictures from my Bandido SMD. It works very fine!

Only the on Board Battery checker doesen´t work, when i replace the Diode against a LED (see the picture in the attachment). Does anyone have a Bandido with working battery check ? or where must the VD8 LED Diode soldered to PCB ?

                        Regards

i bought the black control box from User @Bernte_one (Member here in Geotech forum). It comes without Batterycase and Aluminium Frontpanel. You get only the black Case!

                            regards

Bernte_one ... Was this a one off, or do you have several of these boxes or sale?
I'm just wondering, because many members here have problems finding a suitable control box, and this looks an ideal solution.
