how much .45mm wire needed for igsl-tgsl home made coil ?
hi, i suppose i should have said it was the coil for th e igsl-tgsl on the silverdogs site... it needs 107 on one coil and 98 turns on the other.. thanks,
mark k
OK so that's a 10" coil (I just built one of those) that would be 25" per turn
so 25*107=2675"/12=223 feet
25*98=2450"/12=204.1 feet
205+225=430 feet needed to make one coil (or 131 meters)
Um I thought you were doing the Minelab as you said 0.45 mm as might be used on the TX for that coil.
SilverDog's docs say;
So, to finish this exact coil i need 107 windings for RX and 98 windings for TX. Wire at both
coils is the same; 0.25mm Cu (0.27-0.28mm with resin layer).
