Which one is J1-1 and J1-2?

    Is this right?

    J1-1 is the left one
    J1-2 is the right one

    J2-1 is the upper one
    J2-2 is the lower one

      J1-1 is right
J2-1 is bottom or you can reverse it if you make double beep when test, its depending on TX RX coil placement,

This was with 22cm coil instead of 27cm, because i printed the template like it was in the pdf
and i haven't noticed that its smaller as it should be.

I needed about 124 and 119 Windings for the coil. If someone wants to make this coil use 128 and 125 and remove windings till you
          get the right frequency.

I think 30-32 cm is very good for this size of coil.

I made a new coil, the 255mm one.

My resonances are 14,27 kHz and 13,51 kHz.

Everything works, i have more than 30cm for a 1 euro coin, over 50cm for scissors and maybe 1m for a coke can.
But i cant get a signal for a big aluminium pan. It was a teflon coated pan, but i cant get a tone for an other pan too.

Disc works, rejected ferrite and iron, and i can get 35 cm for a 1 euro coin. Its just 30-32 without disc because i have to turn the sense back because i have side signals.

But i have the problem with the big things like a pan. A stainless steel thermo bottle gave a signal at 1m depht.

I have another problem too , i loose depth when i put an isolating layer over the shield. Is this normal? I had this before with my smaller coil and i planned
to leave the coils like they are and put epoxy over them.

What does it mean "isolating layer" ?

I mean the tape layer after the shield. I have already made the isolating layer with thin ''tesa'' brand tape.
The problem is still present. It just does not detect the large pans (about 35cm diameter).

It works now, maybe it was the lamp hanging from above over the coil.

I have a problem with my detector. I have finished my build and found a toy gun and a lead seal from a flour bag.
Then the detector didnt work. I thought its the battery but its full. I have only a depht from 5cm for a coke can.
I dont know what happened. The detector detects metal when i sweep it over the PCB. Is this normal? I dont know how it was before.
I hope its not the coil.

I solved the problem , a cable broke at the solder point inside the connector plug.
