  • TGSL-Mini 100x70mm

    I finished my Layout.
Testboards are in production. Silkscreen is not perfect but i think its good enough.

It is the russian SMD Version. I replaced the SMD Resistors with normal THT- ones.
I still need to make a partslist and a schematic where the numbers are matching.

    Here are the Files:

The bipolar 4.7 microFarad capacitors at you are 5 mm pin to pin. Do you have capacitors with such a distance between the pins. Usually bipolar capacitors with large values also have large dimensions.
You will need electrolytic bipolar capacitors.

The 4.7 uF are poly caps. Not bipolar.

you have to use bipolar caps 4.7uF. look schematic.

What? The Guys here said i should use poly caps instead of the electrolytics.
The Layout used 4x 2.2 Ceramics before.

Damn, the Boards are in progress now.

Can you tell me where can i see that i need to use bipolar caps?

              C28+C29 and C30+C31 in scheme!

              Look attachment for PCB:

Thanks Toros , but i know where they are because i changed them to poly caps. I also know where they are in the schematic.
But i cant see that i need bipolar caps there. The schematic says normal caps.

And Nandor wrote in the other thread that i can use normal caps for this when i asked for the polarity of the electrolytic 4.7 uF.

BKY calm down man those are non-polarized caps polyprop or poliester all good! The one I showed you is a good one.

you can not use polar caps because opamps are powered from two sources - positive and negative.

                        I missunderstood something.
I mixed up polar and non-polar

I have thought the capacitor in your link is a normal electrolytic polar cap.

                        Everything is ok.

My Boards arrived today. They are nice.

But i have a few Questions. Which ICs are the best for the TGSL?
Do i need to remove the 100pf cap when i use a substitute for the LM308?
Will other ICs give a better performance?

Is there also a better substitute for the LM358?

I saw at radioskot.ru that it is better when i use other types of transistors in the -5V Generator. They suggested 327/328 or 2N3906 and 2N3904

The guy there had a good depht with his changes.

I have also ordered another batch of PCBs with other pin spacing for the 220nf and 100nf 5mm instead of 6.5 mm. I also replaced one Diode and made the Holes from the ICs smaller 2mm instead of 2.2mm outter diameter.

I need to order a few parts before i can test the boards.

Nice pcb, where did you get it made ?, what software did you use ? thanks

                              ---
i got a reclamation that copper layer is low and board has low adgesion.
i answered that 2oz lay adding 20usd to a price. thats impossible to order because the price will be unreal expensive.
so you do wrong. you have to use outer pads' diameter as big as possible.
all my boards also has DOUBLED traces on both sides just to increase adgesion -
that way is NOT used by geotechers and i do not know why.
