5V of Tx is very bad, should be 13-20V.

Rx is also too low, 0.1 mV is far away from 4mV...

These values are given as the correct values 4mv~=.004v Is this true? It A meter must be read like this

            Can you show me please?

All of my Tesoro-like coils has

            TX 15-18Vpp
            Rx 4-10mV.

Working GEB, DISC, detection depth 30-35 for 1€ depend on coil size & settings... No chatters when touching.

My tx now to j1 pin 1&2 =1.256v Means less than 2v
My rx now to pin 7 lf353 and gnd =.002v
Key geb and disc on the middle and put all metals

Cheapo meter not have bandwidth to measure voltage of 14khz sine accurately, to measure peak to peak you need scope.
Besides most cheapo multimeter cannot measure Vpp, only RMS at 50/60hz

To do proper diagnostic and tuning of metal detector, you MUST have oscilloscope.
You can get away without one only if you know what you are doing.

I suspect your mulrimeter can not handle AC with >10kHz, like dbanner said. Buy one of crazy cheap oscilloscopes DSO 138 or 150. Then you can see, what null actually mean and can measure voltages AC with higher frequencies. Troubleshooting metal detector with poor multimeter is extremely hard task for not skilled electronic enthusiast. How many times I wrote this?
