Second, I would like you to read the ENTIRE build document, from the beginning. Making notes and writing down whatever questions you have.
This will help you with setting up your detector.
It is just few pages.

Chemical transfer experience was good. I used home printer papers, mixed ordinary petrol from my bike with ordinary methylated spirit and olive oil (it did not fully dissolve) in prescribed ratio. I could not wait drying so i used hot iron to press for 20 seconds. This produced strong adhesion. I soaked the board in 30*C water (its 40*C+ here) for 3 minutes and scrapped the wet paper off with toothbrush. The toner was baked to beautiful blue and looked so nice on yellow copper board. I used ferric chloride to complete the procedure of making. I attempted same transfer method for silkscreen but it did not workout well as expected.

Third, you do not have to put shielding at this stage of testing. You can leave this for later on when you are doing the final testing before potting the coil.
All you are interested in at this stage is getting the circuit working.

Thanks for sharing your experience with this chemical transfer method. I want to try it.
Yes, that is the document.
I also want you to watch a video on YouTube.

Put any value of inductor on tx connection, its should make a beep when the board is normal.

My TGSL was not making much noise so i looked into The C27 1000uf and it transpired it was taking too long to recharge (almost 100 seconds/V) and my attention went to a 330K resistor connected with it and this got me very confused with schematic and BOM. The schematic shows R55 as 330 ohm but there is no such part as R55 330 Ohm in BOM. I changed this 330k to 330 Ohm and now the speaker is totally silent and -5V at pin 4 of lm358 is also gone.

• I shorted both points of Tx and it remained mum both on scope and speaker

Here is the PCB design i used to make my board
Here is how position of 4024 was given in PCB design.

Compare the IC connections given in schematic with IC position given in PCB design and you will know. And this is illustration of just one IC. I have checked four so far and same is case with all four.
Throw it all IC in the trash and take a new one.

connect a coil 1-6mH value ANY COIL! to transmitter output. just then you will get the negative voltage. LOOK ON THE SCHEMATIC!!!

without the coil YOU DO NOT GET NEGATIVE VOLTAGE!!!!
