  • Using a factory Tesoro coil for the TSGL kit

    I purchased and built up the TSGL kit bought years ago but never finished it due to lack of spare time. Now I want to finish it off but still interested in building the coil for it.

    Can I buy a factory Tesoro coil for it and plug it in and use it as is?

    yes as long as it is a 5 pin connector not the later 4 pin style

      can you recommend coils that will work and plug&play on the TSGL without any tuning. I want to finally get this TSGL up and running as fast as possible.

        Isn't the TGSL a four pin and not a five pin ?

          No, 4 pin configuration has 1mH Tx and 15mH Rx

            So you would get a five pin Tesoro coil and how would it wire it to the TGSL ? which pin do you eliminate ?

              Well the 5'th pin is the shield, you can find the wiring diagram on the TGS topic or just measure the resistances on the pins. The lowest is the Tx and the other must be the Rx.

                guys
                this is base of tesoro coils from my archive

                semi half of RX::
                This suit to (5-pin connector) Tesoro models:
                Silver uMax, Outlaw, Golden uMax, Euro Sabre II, DeLeon, Cortes
                TX = 6.2mH, 20,5E, center-tap
                RX = 8,6mH, 22E
                newer tesoro coils have Ratio from 1mH tx -14mH rx (4pin connector)
                older models 6 and 6,5 (5pin connector)

                silver sabre - I found in a dutch book of metaldetectors :
                tx 100 turn of 0.5mm copperwire and a diameter of 200 mm and
                rx 170 turns of 0.5mm copperwire, diameter 80mm

                  Ok what had me confused is that on the board there is only 4 connection points two for the TX and two for the RX, and the coil I have was made by a member and it was made with 4 wire connector, the ground or shield wire went to the TX and RX as shown in the photo .
                  So just to be clear if I was to buy this coil https://canadiantreasureseekers.com/...10-concentric/ It would work on my TGSL-EDU ?

                    main problem they never give useful information and give only garbage.
                    what you can know from

                    1 kg
                    30 x 20 x 10 cm
                    Tesoro
                    fully idiotizm. we must know instead of that -
                    1 - raspinovka of socket, pinplacement socket diagram
                    2 - resistance
                    3 - inductivity of rx and rx
                    4 - resonance frequency on rx side and tx side
