  • TGSL PCB out of stock at Silverdog?

    Hi,

I am keen to have a go making the TGSL,
Sadly it seems the PCB has been out of stock at the wonderful Silverdog for a while,
Does anyone know if it will ever be back in stock? Is Silverdog himself on this forum?

    Thank you

EDIT sorry about that, when I add it the cart it also tells me out of stock.

I believe its been out of stock since February of this year when I was looking into getting a kit. I don't believe its going to be in stock for awhile. It was a pain having to find and buy all the parts separately but it is doable.

I still have 20 PCBs from my 100x70mm Version: http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showt...100x70mm/page2

Hyena built one with success, but mine still doesnt work.

No, not the TGSL-EDU that Andy sold. There are pictures of them in the thread i have posted.

I have black ones and green ones. Was an SMD Version. I replaced all parts with tht.

Pretty sure I have a few boards left, I'll check tonight and update the shop if I find them

Great thanks Mr Silverdog, I would like a spare board myself.

Hi, how much would you ask for 2 of them shipped to France?

I'm planning to build at least one child sized detector for my daughters, and the 10cm*7cm PCB size would allow me to make a smaller (and lighter) control box than the one I made for my latest TGSL EDU builds.
Aiming at less than 0.9Kg for the child sized one, the adult sized one will be around 1.2Kg.

Here is a sneak peek at the homemade adult sized control box and handle next to the child sized handle and pole with the first pink coil housing prototype.
It uses a 3*18650 battery tray with integrated charging circuit.

Looks Good, you might run out of space once the boards and wiring is in place maybe. over design looks good. Personally, I stopped printing the long stems as they always broke after a while of swinging the coin.

The stems are reinforced, not just spiralizing or printed flat on the bed. I believe they will be just fine, but only field test will tell.

Regarding the space for wiring, there should be plenty of space available compared to the metal box I used until now. The overall volume is close to the CZ-6 box that I used on my last build.
