  • Bandito TX Frequency

Well it's another Snowy cold winter here in Upstate NY and I am thinking of building a VLF detector based on the Bandito circuit for a winter project. I have searched all over and can't seem to find the TX frequency of that unit. I believe it is around 10 KHz. Could someone please let me know for sure what it actually is.
    Thanks
    Russ

    Scope pictures

If you can see the freq measurements.

        Hi Goodrat
        Where I found P28, P24 and P23 on the Bandido schematic ?

          Thanks Goodrat

Thanks A bunch Goodrat. I haven't built anything just yet I am in the process of doing the circuit board layout. So it looks like 10.2 Khz for the one you are measuring. I probably will take my time with this project since I doubt if I will even see the ground around here much till sometime in March. I still also need to do a new layout and board for an adaptation of Carl's Hammerhead that I have built. Well at least it's something to pass the time through winter. Thanks again and have a good one.

            P28,24,23

Sorry, I have those marked on my schematic.
            P28 is (-) input of IC7B
P24 is the output of IC5B
            P23 is at C18
This is what is on the legend of my Cutlass II.

              Hi Goodrat

Many thanks. What is signal level (rest state) on output of IC7A ?
