Here is my work on Bandido project. It was made using Eagle Layot Editor.

Seems nice. My PCB supplier requires *.sch and *.brd files. Can you provide the source files also?

looks very nice. Did you construct and test it?

        Not yet

But I plain to do it this weekend days. If all in circuit is O.K. I have no doubt that it will work.
BTW, did anybody build this detector and what sensivity can I expect?

Good job! What are the dimensions of the pcb?

              100x80 mm (both)
Next day I'll try to post revised pcb's with correct dimensions - ready for printing with ACDsee.

                Re: Not yet

I could be wrong, but your 2 boards look a bit large compared to mine. Why two boards?

As to Carl's tests on those unmarked Capacitors, They are Not Correct! He measured them In-Circuit and there is Considerable Circuit Capacitance.

My board is tested and works fine.

                SEASONS GREETINGS TO ALL!

                  Re: Not yet

I think 2 boards design is better, you don't need a big box, the boards can be placed paralell inside a box.

                  HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

                      Re: Not yet

Try with both capacitors values (gary's and carl's) and tell us the difference

                        Re: Not yet

It's true. Two boards design is a bit large than yours but in other side it is prefferable because you can place these boards in smaller box.
BTW, I realy like single board designs but as software I used is freeware it was with some limitations. This is maximum board size allowed in this version of EAGLE 4.01

One more question for all - could you give me a hint how to post source files here? It will be useful for all who want to check or modify this design.

                        Happy New Year!

                          Hi Eugenij

nice Job! If you plan to make a PCB redesign maybe you can implement the Bandido Saltwater/Beach modification posted at Geotech Forum in your next design.

You seem to be into PC boards, I was just wondering if you have ever used the method with the paper you put in yor printer, print the pattern and run the paper and low copper pc board through a pouch laminator to transfer the pattern to the BD. The less dense copper BD is supposed to etch in 20 seconds or so without time to leach under the printed mask. I would sure like to Know how well this method works. I believe it was a company called Dyna Arts.
