  • Whats the max voltage the TGSL can handle?

    Hey everyone,

I want to use two 9 volt batteries in series to power my TGSL, I've got some rechargeable Li-On 9 volt batteries that I bought for my old detector and I'd like to keep using them if possible.

Would I burn out my board by using this setup?

    Thanks!

No it will not burn as u should see lm7808 operating voltage on datasheet.and it says that lm 7808 has an operating voltage 10.5 to 23 V ,so 18 v can be aplyyed but no sense to use it .....in paralel the hunying life of battery should be X2 hours if used...lm7808 at least should have 10.5 volt to work not 9

      Thanks Ozoz_xba!

I forgot I posted this, the li-on batteries are very light weight compared to the 8 as batteries I've been using.
