  • new modify for bandidoII

    Hi to everybody, by now it is one year that I have realized the bandidoII posted by Carl and I would like to realize something more modern.
    There is anybody that has for instance traced the new tesoro eldorado or the lobosupertraq, or sent me the photos of the pcb of the side component and of the side copper.
    Is interesting to see how in the years the Tesoro has improved its circuits.

    Thanks to everybody

    Have they? News to me, as the OLD Eldorado went MUCH deeper then the new one.

    BTW, the Silver uMAX is an Eldorado uMAX on a diet. I pulled one of each apart, and they use the SAME PCB. How can Tesoro justify a price difference for two front panel controls?

    Not a criticism (much), but merely a point of fact.

        Very true indeed Marcello, most improvements are in size though.

        Most of the "modern" Tesoro's are just surface mounted versions of the old machines (Silver Sabre uMax). This was and still is an AWESOME machine. Very sensitive.

        Carl traced out one of the uMax machines, but the problem is, the PIC code. I'm working on some code which I will post here later in the year, which should work universally as an "add-on" to any Tesoro machine.

        The code gives;

        Tone ID
        Iron ID
        Iron Blank
        Hot Rock Blank
        Better Battery Test
        LCD Meter ID

        The idea is, you simply hook up the PIC on it's PCB to five points in the Tesoro machine and it SHOULD, in theory, give you all the features I've listed.

        I was going to make it a commercial add on, but I'll post it here for you all to play with first.
