      Bandido question

      Hi Gary
Can you tell me your opinion about Bandido performance?
Long time ago i had plans to build one, but not shure of that, until i know if is good enough to replace my old TR840 Bounty Hunter. What do you think, can be this a good choise to replace my old detector?
Regards and thanks for your help.

Sorry Nelson, Your asking the Wrong Person.

I Have Almost "NO Experience with Any Commerical Metal Detectors". Never even Owned one.

I Think it works Good, BUT I Suggest you Ask the others on this forum for a REAL comparison.

Need to Detect a CAR Nelson?
        My Latest Design this morning.

          Ok Gary and thanks.
About the car detector is a nice project. I never think on the possibilities of that kind of detector. For shure this can be usefull for many aplications that i have in mind.
          Regards

              Good morning Gary.
Yes, after i finish my TR locator, i ll give a try to that circuit, very interesting.
About PCB, firts of all many thanks for that value gif, my name and address are:

              Nelson Lepe Téllez
              Aristides del Solar 9067
              Las Condes
              Santiago
              CHILE

Gary i m still interested on get the reg1117, because i want to make your PI metal detector. I have read all post about it, and everyone saids is a very good one, good deep and good stability.
I can pay thru master card or any other way accesible to me. Paypal i m not shure if works fine here. Any ideas?
Gary another question, i m looking to make a simple function generator, that can generate square wave from 1 hz to 500 hz.
This is to keep on my experiments related to Dr. Clark, who has been experimenting with this devices to kill bacterias, viruses and parasites, very interesting matter. If you like to know more about it, you can go to Dr. Clark web site http://www.drclark.net/

Many thanks and i ll talk later.
              Regards

Hi Nelson, Sorry But I Do NOT Accept any Credit Cards.
Basically I only accept CASH Money in USD.

that can generate square wave from 1 hz to 500 hz
                .
Just use a 555 Oscillator, Like everyone else does.
But What a Waste of time this is, It Doesn't Kill Anything!
They doen't even have enough Voltage output to Penitrate the Skin.

This stuff is a Take-off of "TENS" Circuits, Which are simular but at a higher voltage. TENS Devices help reduce pain feeling by deadening nerves.

If you want the REG1117A, I'll put one in with the PCB for the T/R Locator.
And to make it easy, No Charge this Time.

                Take care....Gary

I Bought 100 of these REG1117A and Basically My "Landed Cost" was $1.50 Each in Equivalant USD.

So Let me know How many you want and I'll send them in with that PCB.
This will AVOID Future Shipping Costs, And you can pay me later, (Some How) After you get them.

                            Helo Garry,

any air test of your excellent done Bandido split mod? Or even field test experience?

Can you explain your Bandido coil design? You use for shielding "PCB" Copper-coated plate? Probably only on RX? Intereasting solution,
I've thought about it only a few times, but what about gap on schielding?

Thank you for your efforts, I hope you enjoy it.

                              WM6, Sorry, no air tests.
I only created this Split Board, Just to see if I could do it.
I Did it, And it does work OK.

However, I also believe my Coil is VERY POOR done.
I was in too much of a rush to just get it done.

But Either way, I just prefer my PI Detector.
                              (Descrimination isn't important to me.)
