  • How to build a coil for the Bandido 2 umax ?

Ok, i have build quinks PCB Bandido2 umax, but how to build the coil ?

In this Forum i found any pictures of the Bandido 2 coils, but which is ok ?

Please post your Bandido Coils schematics here (Standart, DD, ..)
    Thanks

    Hi,
for DD 22cm diameter I've used
    TX 120 turns 0.3mm wire
    RX 120 turns 0.3mm wire
I wounded coils on a semi-oval shape then when overlapped they fits in 22cm diameter. You need to match 10KHz for TX, then nulling with a scope better as you can RX moving at center and varing distances between tx and rx coil.
I suggest put rx flat and then tx over leaving center area free of glue-pot to be free to adjust as better before fixing it with epoxy.
I've reached 1mV pk-pk of nulling this way but think that few mV to 10mV pk-pk are ok too.

For concentric-coplanar I've used Mike's instructions you can find on the forum. I've to adapt to my components and I get something like:
    TX 105 turns
    RX 146 turns
    RX1 25 and 3/4 turns
wire is 30AWG - resistances are about 22-23 ohm for both rx and tx.
You can use Mike's values then reducing or adding some turns to get best result.

You can use graphite for shield concentric and foil or mylar/aluminium for shielding DD coils.

Actually I get better sensitivity with DD22cm than with 8'' round but you know you lose much pinpointing.

    Best regards,
    Max
