  • Custom detectors

Hello all, I am new to this discussion group, but have been into detecting for many years. I have been working with a friend developing new detectors that meet our needs. One we call the "Ultimate Pin Pointer". It is a very sensitive pin pointer with no external switches, an internal LiPo battery, auto tuner, and what we call a how feature with auto shutoff and a quick release belt clip. It can pin point quarters about 7 -8 inches away. So, if you detect an object with your main detector, you can just take the pin pointer and quickly and very accurately locate the object. If you want to find exactly where it is before digging, you can give it a little bump or shake and reset the sensitivity to that location, then continue to move until you locate it. It is very hard to describe and would require a video to fully understand the operation. It is very simple. It has a 2.75" coil and is about 10" long. the coil can be pivoted to as to work the sides of holes or pinpoint on the side. Runtime is about 8hours and draws <25ma.

Anyway, my friend has been developing detectors for over 25years and has developed detectors that rival any detector today!

We have been looking at the discussion groups and noticed this group and people trying to make the Bandido, or SS, and GS. While that design is very functional, it is very in-efficient and lack in performance. We have been working on a version of this that provide the same basic functionality with an easier build and much greater performance.

His best detector now is a 3 freq detector that totally eliminates and ground or mineralization effects as well as salt, automatically. It transmits 3 freqs at the same time, not like Minelabs. With an 8" coil, it can easily detect a quarter at 25". It also has a partial discrimination mode, that gives discrimination to a certain depth and all metal mode below or deeper than that. That way you do not miss the targets that are deeper than the detector can discriminate.

We can offer assistance in coil and detector design and modification as well as circuit boards and coils for some of what we developed. That is why I posted in this section. We have something that is functionally the same as the Bandido, but far superior in discrimination, depth and efficiency.

Just chiming in to say hi!!

    Magman,

So, how about making a video? I would be interested in seeing this in action.

    Thanks,
