    Be careful for forged LM308s, These are just some other opamp, remarked as LM308, these were discussed at some point in the TGS thread.

    TL081 works (and you don't need the 100pFcapacitor), on my TGS both LM308 and TL081 perform similar.

      Hi @Molzar,

      This dose not surprise me at all, for forging components goes way back in time. Even the once popular Silicon Power Transistor 2N3055 was forged by stamping old Germanium transistors with the 2N3055 logo.

      The LM308 has been replaced in many (if not most) applications by the Modern OP07 Op-Amp at about $1 a piece, and it is also widely available too. And the pin-compatible TL081 is even more cheaper than the OP07. There is really no reason to be Nostalgic about the LM308 anymore.
