hi can anyone help, have now been two built by the tgsl, comes with only two permanent beeping, no battery check, the oscillator works, but the 5 volt power supply seems not to go, are only 0.7 volts.NPN bc847, - pnp - 2n7907Click image for larger version

Hello herpes , 5 volts is produced from the time the coil is connected TX.
then the transmitted frequency is divided by component cd4024, so I would check what you already get in the 4024 pinout 12, then if it is ok good check on the side of your transistor in 2907 and 2222 that the section generate 5 volts (approximately 6.10 volts for me)

also verify the presence of 8 volts on the emitter of transistor TR7 (2N2907)

I assume you are talking about negative voltage (-5V) !?
As ashefr10 says, it can't work without the coil.

And please, clean your board, you can't see anything with the flux.
Check carefully for shortcuts and dry joints.

yes I think he meant the 5 volts negative, it is true that the flow can not see anything. if he does not find her down, I try to take my card for electronic photo macro that can compare in detail the card and my card.

ok , so the diode D6 anode you should have about -5 volts, if this is not the case you can be something that drops the voltage

hmm will, once screwed my IGSL and compare the values, again a stupid question, but the 0.1 capacitors smd 100 nf?

                    Yes , 0,1 = 100 nf

                        TGSL smd new release

                        Hello,
I've re-routed the TGSL smd pcb.
It's almost the same as the original one.
I've just added 3 pads to connect the addon card for the Minelab coils.
I've carefully checked the board but if someone find an error, don't hesitate to report it.
                        Enjoy it.

Hi Hugo, great job, I think we could further reduce the size of the pcb if you spend virtually all SMD component. What do you think?

                            Hi Nico,
                            Thank you.
But the Pcb is already quite small (60 x 96 mm).
I think that I won't win a lot of space by using smd chips instead of DIL packages. You can't routed between legs.
And furthermore, it's easier to test various OPAMP when they are plugged into sockets.

I've found I have to "neutralize" the second part of the LM358; The inputs are not polarized.
And I will add a second capacitor tank in the RX input.
                            Regards,
                            Hugo

can send you one for little money (shipping +3€ pcb)
with rosol 3 (shining like a mirror) or chemical tin
no problem to help within germany
did you think about to introduce your results in detektorforum too for ger users?

                              regards bernd

Thanks I still have two boards for laying around fit here, I could do with only having the problem, somehow it seems the oscillator after the second transistor spin would have me maybe some more time with the function, rather than everything zusammenzulöten simply have somehow ne jet streak, a lobo whistles only gold scan, 4 of no sound makes, and now TSGL 2 x with the same error, maybe I should rather be hobby surgeon, on 11.11 andalusia first time after a month after, maybe I should get one Eletronik textbook can take, probably not schaden.vielen thanks for the greetings demand
geile google übersetzung,hätt ich auch noch hingekriegt
