I found IDX (no vdi or 2 tone board) easiest to build and use. It is a simpler machine. It does suffer from large iron, IGSL and IDX do not like wet grass.
Don't know about the Bandido as I have not built that one yet. The very obvious difference between IDX and TGSL is the operating frequency and it's sensitivity toward different metals. If you are after deep silver, the IDX is the way to go. If you are after thin brass relics, TGSL for sure..
You mentioned efficiency - I presume you mean power drain efficiency? If so I do not have this data do we know about current consumption for these machines
