  • Stable damping resistor

This is an adjustable damping resistor made with temperature stable resistors (25 parts per million / per degree)

So, even with a temperature variation of 100 degrees it should not vary by more than 0.25%

Compared to carbon resistor 200ppm (2% variation over 100 degrees)
Metal film is more stable, but could still be ~100ppm (1% over 100 degrees)

Adjustable from 200ohm to 1200ohm with 25 ohm increments using the solder-bridges

Will that be able to handle the power?

      No
With 1/4 Watt resistors, they are running warm and out of spec, with a detector that pumps 1 Watt average power into them.

      Attached is an improved circuit,
Using 1/4 Watt, 1206, resistors it will run comfortably with 1 Watt average power.
