Jason, I would like to take a peek at the hex file too. My email is [email protected] With the PIC16F84 now becoming somewhat of a relic you can use the PIC16F84A, these are still in production. Or with little mods to the soucre code you can use any member of the PIC16Fxxxx fam. You can log onto microchips website to see the differences from one chip to another and get some idea of the language involved with each fam of chip.

So PIC16F84A is also good without program, or scheme changes?

Yes, the only diff according to the Microchip site is the pic16f84A has a faster potential clock speed. That being said I have subd the PIC16F84A in place of the 16F84 in a few projects with now problems.

          Ok.
If PIC16F877A will be also good as a repleacment for PIC16F877 in new version of Stuart PI?

I dont know, check the migration document on the Microchip website. I know the PIC16F84A worked inplace of the PIC16F84.

                    MAGPI-1

Can anyone help where to find MAGPI-1?

Which one is good enough for the application and how to program it?

Or does anyone have it with the last hex code installed already, and send one to me?

                    Thanks in advance.

                              thank u.

I have made a PCB too, i didn´t know this one was here.

I have posted it on the forum, just make a search at "stuart"pcb´s.

I made this detector, but have problems with the pic that doesn´t send the pulse all the time, sometimes it just quit oscillating.
I have tried several codes, but only one is working.
                                good luck,
                                Fred
