Hi John, did you check here?

    http://www.geotech1.com/cgi-bin/page...art2/index.dat

This is the link I found on the web site. I had to build the previous link by hand

Thanks Nicolae, for your reply..I believe I have read all the posts on this site and searched the internet. Its the correct Stuart2 pcb and 16f84a hex, Iam looking for...
      Thanks for your reply..
Maybe someone out there would have built this microcontroller PI and have some input?
      Regards

        Hi John,

I just sent you the link to the Stuart 2, including the PCB and hex code. You said this is what are you after. Do you have any knowledge that the link I sent you contains wrong information? To me it looks ok.

        Regards,
        Nicolae

Hi Nick, this is not the info I was looking for..The second link you sent was for the non micro controlled version.
Maybe someone can chime in and answer my original post.
          Thanks
          John

            Hi John,

Yes, the second link is not with microcontroller, the first link is the valid one. It contains the diagram with the microcontroller, the PCB and the hex source, as well as the assembler source code. Did you check the first link?

            Regards,
            Nicolae

Hello Nick, the post you have sent i have already seen. The Hex file is not for my chip(16f84a) that I am trying to program. The original chip is an OPT .
              Thanks for your input.
              Regards

                Stuart PI

Hi ,have built one of these before,an use a Pic micro 16F84A.It works well for a simple design.
The Pic Micro was coded from Magenta Electronics Uk. Think they still do a service for a Micro coded with the correct Files for this project for around 5 British Pounds +Airmail to O/Seas. Please check with them?
The French Pauls Files for the Stuart PI that are on the Net. wont work with this unit,Ive tried coding up several extra 16F84a Pic ,they fail to code properly an the Instruction sets are in French an seem prone to error.an there is No support provided from the french developer an web.
Maybe others here may have done it successfully, but havent posted any clear result?else keeping for their own purpose!
anyway here is my unit when built an tested, but not cased.
the performance was acceptable, air test silver ring over 20cm easy, metal button almost similar.most small silver content coins over 10cm-15cm very easy.
It ignores most Lead items, bullets etc,an lot of copper an brass items.an lot of foil like gum wrappers, cig.packet foils.
But still steel bottlecaps,an pull tabs come thru,an small screws but not wire!
Still a nice little project.Ive notice amongst the several variation of board design an components count an layout several errors.maybe deliberate or just poor Proofing of the boards an parts layout?
If you can go by the last Magenta Electronics Kit design pcb,you wont have any dramas. If you can find this Last Corrected design,by them.
I had it somewhere myself, got to find it?its was different to the common Net. designs.
                Regards

You can try converting it to a PDF file (2MB limit) or lower the resolution.

                          Thanks Rov for your reply.
I have 3 different pcb images, all 3 have variances.(from an earlier post found on this site)
It would be good if someone has built a successful version of this PI to post their experience!
The french assembly file, I have reassembled for the 16f84A, so far It was successfully programmed to the pic. I have not built the project, so do not know if the hex works.
I wonder If it would just be easier to build a project that is proven..
Maybe Gary's pi or Carls hammerhead.

I liked the idea of a micro, and with Mark Pauls' method of altering timings etc..could have been good.
But thanks again Rov for your input, most appreciated.
                          Cheers

Hello Rov,I recompiled the pi84 asm with the 16f84a.inc with mplab.
                              This is the resulting Hex.
