Silverdog Surf pi operating power and stability

can i expect stable detection at 11v ? i plan to use 3 18650 battery

or shod i use 4 18650 battery and use a dc step down converter ?

All the circuits use a regulator to 5V except the Coil pulsing.
So battery can be anywhere between 8 and 14V so 3 Li cells is perfect.

I use 3 LiPo cells for my Hammer Head which also regulates Voltage to all circuits except coil pulse and this works fine.
