Thanks for all the interesting suggestions.

I have decided on IB-PI model FC.

For Induction Balanced PI with Flyback Control

I wonder if we should ask Carl to let us move this project to the Project sector?

                Tinkerer,

One of the engineers at White's has been working on this concept*, and last week he gave me a demonstration that I found incredibly impressive. So I can say that "you are on to something" but I cannot (yet) say a whole lot more.

Let me know if you want a dedicated project forum.

Must be a wide spread development since any tinkerer is messing with it.

                      Hi Tinkerer:

Would you explain what it is exact advantage of nulled RX coil that cannot be achieved with single coil? In other words, what is the key concept here?

                      Regards,

                        Hi Simonbaker,

I have started a new thread at http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15450

where you can see the response of coins of similar size, but different alloys.

That shows one of the advantages. The IB-PI lets you sample during the TX pulse. When you compare the signal response during TX ON and after TX OFF, you get much more information about the target.

Ok, sampling during TX pulse is main difference I was wondering.
