coolrunner and display

hi all this board seemed appropriate has anyone used a xlinx coolrunner and display to make an add in meter?
full digital is probably step to far with this but a simple meter, is it doable or indeed has it been done.
seen stuff about pic atmega and tiny but not coolrunner i ask as i have all the bits but no code any info is welcomed.

thought i would answer myself as this went nowhere, the real answer is no!, no one ever built an x,y meter with cpld(being flippant).
of course they have but they dont share!, its really hard to find projects and info for the cpld( some dev evaluation board that is!).
any way got rid of the lot this morning, going to look at pic instead, have not got time to waste on unsupported hardware!
