The Android software will receive data wireless (via Bluetooth) and will display it immediately on screen. The software has the capability of integrating a GPS signal, Google Maps, automatic filtering and entering notes for later recollection of specific scan details. Additionally, automatic filtering capabilities are useful to improve the results of your scan and find hidden objects and structures more easily. Due to the integrated GPS all scan positions can be stored along with the scan data.

The Android software applications is available in several languages:
English, Français, Deutsch, Español, Ελληνικά, Italiano, فارسی, 中文

The price of a GroudExper is €4000, but the price (Kaufland here in Plovdiv, Bulgaria) of a small Asus tablet PC is €99 only.

Bad loop configuration

It was more expensive. The price of DRS GroundExper was even €5500 in August 2013 according a Bulgarian forum:

Aziz, I’m sure that you can design and build an ANDROID metal detector for less than €400. Your design will be more sensitive because DRS uses bad dimensioned loop configuration in search head. Here is attached a sketch for explanation. Note that both configurations have equal overall dimensions A and B. The surface of RX coil in DRS design is very small relative to those of a conventional DD loop cofiguration. Even the TX loop in DRS head is smaller. The conventional DD configuration makes more wide scan.

The Ground Exper is standard completed with three search heads. According to the company website, search heads have dimension 8.86" (the small one), 17.71" (the medium one) and 39.37" (the large one). I guess the first two numbers correspond to the dimension A (overall diameter of TX loop in my sketch of induction balanced heads) and the third dimension (39.37" = 100 cm) refers to the side of a square frame which operates as Monocoil.

Hi all,

I have just ordered a new ATX PSU and an external USB drive case for my SATA hard disk. In case of I can't repair my old PC, I'll try to power up my SATA hard disk externally. But I think, I can repair it.
In case of I have screwed my PC, I'll buy a brand new PC. Maybe a quad-core? This would speed up my coil calculations.

I'll know it this week. Thumbs up!
BTW, I also have ordered 20 x NJM 2068D. 0,57 Euro Cent per piece. It's cheap but you get more for your bucks!!!

My PC has passed away.
It's dead! Dead!, f******* dead!
The new PSU doesn't make it alive.

But my SATA hard disk is running. Fortunately I haven't lost any data. I can use my SATA hard disk as an external USB drive now.

Quad-core, hexa-core, octa-core, 16-core, zillion-core!!!

Yeah!, my old PC is obviously alive!!!

I was merely dumb to see the fact, that the 8-pin ATX 12V power connector can be splitted into two 4-pin ATX 12V connectors. My old mainboard doesn't run alone with the 24-pin ATX power connector. It requires additionally the old 4-pin ATX 12V connector. Well, I was making and fiddling a compatible 4-pin power connector and has finally seen, that the 8-pin connector can be easily splitted into two parts. I'll clean my old PC and make it ready. I hope, I won't screw it this way.
