Microchip has several PIC micros that incorporate a full USB interface. This offers several advantages in detector design:

• Reprogram the PIC directly via USB
• Dynamically change the PIC operation (using your own custom PC software) while the detector is running
• Dynamically read back results to the PC while the detector is running

This forum is for the discussion of how to use the PIC-USB features, and how to design detectors that can take advantage of USB.
